Extension Ecosystem

The ecosystem for tokenized real estate assets is immature. An ecosystem of dApps will emerge providing an interconnected ecosystem of real estate services with fewer intermediaries.

It is imagined that Plano will enable integrations as addable and optional extensions to the Plano dApps. Examples of what would be possible are provided below.

• Defi - an expanded range of Defi platforms and tools in which to collateralize assets, or perhaps future revenues on these assets in the case of commercial activities or the sale of occupancy tokens.

• REITs - packaging tokens into larger investment vehicles will be easier than ever before. With increased information and ease, cross border REITs are now an option.

• Property and Title Insurance - Services could be expanded to include the sale of Title Insurance as well as typical property insurance at the time of purchase (or after via the marketplace) to new buyers. Insurance could be tokenized and attached to Real Estate assets as Insurance badges.

• Usage Price Arbitrage and Rental Market - The potential exists to find undervalued Nights and create a marketplace to buy and sell them using UTokens. This marketplace could ultimately expand to encompass the traditional markets for hospitality brokerage (hotels and vacation rentals), as well as the sale of timeshare nights.

• Safe custody tools - Custodial solutions that allow NFT owners to safely store their NFTs or possibly allow re-minting of them in situations where an owner loses access to their wallet.
