OG Partnerships

The Plano Marketplace must enfranchise a network of service providers and professionals to deliver services through the platform. Doing so will create a larger network effect and spur the adoption of the marketplace. These professionals are called On-Ground (OG) partners.

The focus is on the acquisition of individual actors as opposed to incumbent players that currently act as employers and gatekeepers. To be successful, tools must be created that empower these actors to engage with the platform in ways that create autonomy, fairness and value. Ensuring these needs are met will be key to the uptake in usage of the platform.

On a global scale, connecting a diverse set of providers across language and cultural practices is a large undertaking. This undertaking is a multi year endeavor that will involve significant investments in market research, planning, development, outreach, and support. However, a true disruption in the way real estate is bought and sold cannot occur without significant effort in the reinvention of the current ecosystem.

While there is the possibility to derive additional revenue streams from OG partners, the primary value to Plano is in the network effect created and the value provided to buyers and sellers. As such, the monetization of OG partnerships is not primary at inception.

Partners

Key partners that must be connected are:

  • Real Estate Brokers - In many jurisdictions where settlement processes are cumbersome or unclear, supporting buyers and sellers in this activity can exhaust a great amount of time. Offloading this effort to Plano is a big win for brokers that drives adoption. Combined with the fact that brokers today control access to nearly all listings globally, settlement solutions that provide benefits for Brokers are a top priority for Plano.

  • Inspection Agents - Inspection agents that perform property inspections of condition and content and report the results. Today each buyer commissions their own reports and so much of this work is potentially duplicated. With the immutable trustless nature of the blockchain, the duplication of effort is reduced and sellers will be encouraged to create such reports as part of their property listing.

  • Valuation Agents - Professional appraisers of a property’s value to support the AI estimate provided by Plano.

  • Insurance Agents - Connections to on and off-chain insurance providers for Fire, Flood, etc.

  • Property Managers - Asset managers are key to the upkeep and operation of fractionalized property. Facilitating connections between owners and these individuals is key to the success of fractionalization efforts.

Quality Assurance

Like rental guardians, the quality of work provided by OG partners will be maintained through the use of a review system. To ensure trust in the system, Plano provides a limited form of insurance coverage in the event that partners deliver bad outcomes to buyers and sellers.
