Future Use Cases

If the future of real estate transactions are on the blockchain, the industry will be significantly disrupted. Plano tools could be expanded in the future in the following ways.

More Communities

The Community creation and governance model could be expanded to be a useful platform for all planned communities globally. Plano could thus become a global service provider for governance that would be larger than most, if not all, local government authorities.

The Council dApp

The Council dApp could be extended to provide solutions to the following industries and services.

  • HOA governance

  • Administration of Tenancy in Common

  • Private Real Estate investment groups

  • Asset Management

  • Malls or other commercial operators of individual shops within a single complex.

The Planning dApp

A major obstacle to the creation of new communities is funding. It can be hard to showcase a new development and build trust among investors to obtain early funding.

A solid Master Plan and secure governance structure of a community in the earliest stages of their development will install confidence among investors. This is especially true when details of the project are publicly available on the blockchain. It is also imagined that projections such as ROI and IRR could be more effectively calculated and communicated to investors with more information available on the blockchain.

From the investor perspective, it will become easier to evaluate competing investment opportunities with improved information, awareness and reach.

Oracles

Oracles could surface a vast array of new data that could make markets more efficient. From occupancy data and renter satisfaction information, to capital improvements, repairs and chattels, buyers could obtain an improved picture of the value and profitability and risks of real estate assets purchases.
